Our aim is to prepare the return within 4 weeks and get back with you within that period in case additional information is required.
When you order after June or if you are ok with preparation in the period between July and December, you can opt for the low season service with a reduced fee. Note that the Dutch tax authiorities charge interest on top of payable amounts in case an assessment is issued after June 30, so if you expect a payable amount, it may be advisable to file timely.

Process of signing up
After you signed up for income tax return service and arranged for payment, we will reach out to you with a detailed email including an info sheet to complete and a checklist that shows you what information is relevant and which data needs to be shared with us.
We perform a client identification check, which is mandatory for tax consultants in case of a new client. This check is currently arranged by way of an e-meeting, but we plan to have things arranged through a third party: Reglab.
In a separate email you will receive an invitation to create a client portal profile for the software that we use for the preparation of income tax returns and for data exchange: Elsevier Nextens. In case of partners, each partner will need to create a personal profile.
We will apply for extension for filing of the returna and apply for VIA (pre filled data from the Dutch tax authorities). In order to do so, we required the personal data that is requested in the info sheet.
Preparation process
Once you uploaded your completed info sheet and all your tax relevant information and documents into your client portal, we start with the preparatuion of your income tax return(s).
If we have questions, we reach out and if all is clear and complete, we prepare your income tax return. The prepared return will be uploaded into your client portal, where you can download, review and approve the return. Once you approved, the return will be automatically filed with the Dutch tax authorities.
In case of partners, each return needs to be approved separately (so in both portals).
This data is required in order to apply for extension for filing, for applying for VIA and also for preparation of the income tax return(s).
Process with the Dutch tax authorities
In general, the Dutch tax authorities issue a preliminary assessment within 3 months from filing the income tax return (and settle the financial part). Then usually within a year after audit, they issue a final assessment.
In the process of audit, they can request for additional information or supporting proof.
